Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions pertaining to Check-In, Cancellation Policies & Dining Times at Tattingstone Inn. Should you have any further questions, please call us and we’ll be happy to discuss them with you.

  • Check In & Out
    Our guests are welcome to check in anytime after 4:00 pm until 9:00pm. Check out time is by 11:00 am. Our Front Desk closes at 9:00pm. Please advise us in advance if you will be arriving after 9:00 pm, as late check-in arrangements will need to be made. After you have settled into your room, you may want to relax and unwind on our veranda with a nice glass of local wine, craft beer or cider enjoying one of our comfortable chairs, listening to soft music playing in the background. For your comfort, all areas of the Inn are non-smoking, including Cannabis products. If smoke is detected in your room a $300.00 cleaning fee will be applied to the credit card on file. 72 Hours prior to checking in a pre authorization is made on the credit card provided . It will not be completed until after you've enjoyed your time with us. A final reciept will then be emailed to you.
  • Cancellation Policy
    Due to the size of our Inn, every guest and reservation is precious to us. Should you wish to cancel less than 72 hours prior to the date of your arrival, you will be charged for your entire stay. We’ll try our best to re-book and if we do, you won’t be billed. Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier than your confirmed reservation dates, you will be responsible for the original room nights booked for your intended stay, unless we are able to re-book the room on your behalf. If you incur damages during your stay that were not settled at time of check-out, additional charges will be billed to your credit card on file. With reservations of 3 or more rooms, or 3 or more consecutive nights, a 25% deposit may be required at time of reservation with a 30 day cancellation policy applied as above.
  • Dining
    Included with your stay is a restaurant style breakfast with several option to choose from. Your gourmet breakfast is served in our restaurant between 7:30am- 9:30am. Upon check in we will request to book a reservation time to enjoy your breakfast. Availability is on a first come first serve basis at the time of check in. Gluten-free and vegan options are available upon request. Although we offer gluten free options please be aware we do not have a celiac/ gluten free kitchen. We do our best to ensure no cross contamination occurs but cannot make any guarantees. We appreciate your understanding. Please notify us in advance of any dietary restrictions or special requests. Available to the Public: We currently offer public dining every Friday night with Chef Penner's 6 course tasting menu. With the menu changing every two weeks, a reservation is required to attend. We also offer Brunch on the Weekends from 10am until 1pm. It is an a la cart menu with several options to choose from.
  • Seasonal Rates
    Rates are based on double occupancy plus taxes. Additional guests $25 per person/night. Children under 7 yrs of age are free. Children 22 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult. Rates are in Canadian funds and are subject to 15% HST. Please see individual rooms for rates at time of booking. Rates are subject to change at the discretion on Management. Please note: High Season Rates will apply for Convocation weekend mid- May with a three-night minimum stay.
  • Pet Policies
    Although we do not offer pet friendly rooms at our Inn, we would be happy to recommend a few Pet Hotels in the area which will look after your pet while you are staying with us. Please don't hesitate to give us a call, it would be our pleasure to make those arrangements for you.
  • Our Housekeeping Services
    We take great care to ensure that our accommodations and services meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene. In addition to rigorous cleaning protocols, all our housekeeping staff are Clean It Right certified. Refresh policy: if you are staying with us for multiple nights. Please place your "please make up room" sign located on your door outside your room so our housekeeping staff are aware of your wishes. For your comfort, if you'd like your stay to be undisturbed please place your "do not disturb" sign on the outside of your door. If your sign is not on your door they will not enter your room. If you require additional amenities while remaining undisturbed, like toiletries and towels, arrangements can be made at the front desk. They can be delivered in protective packaging and placed at your rooms door. High Touch items: travel magazines, pens, note pads, paper, cotton ball and Q-tip holders still remain absent from all our rooms.
